Nyagatare Coffee Washing Station sits in the hills above Lake Kivu in Nyamasheke. Hundreds of smallholder farmers deliver ripe Bourbon cherry to the station. Cool nights and steady winds from the lake support slow, even drying, helping to build clarity and fruit-forward sweetness. Natural processing here involves careful cherry selection followed by thin-layer drying on raised beds with routine turning and sorting.
The result is a clean, expressive cup profile with berry-like aromatics and a round, balanced structure. Raised in volcanic soils, high diurnal range near Lake Kivu.
