Chemex

Brewing with Chemex: A Timeless Ritual for Clean, Elegant Coffee

The Chemex is more than just a coffee maker — it's an icon of both design and function. Invented in 1941 by chemist Dr. Peter Schlumbohm, its hourglass shape and thick paper filters create a smooth, clear cup that highlights delicate notes in high-quality single-origin coffees.
At Beanbourbon, we recommend the Chemex for those who enjoy refined, floral, or tea-like flavors. It’s ideal for light to medium roasts.

Why Brew with Chemex?

Clarity in the cup – The Chemex filter removes most oils and fines, producing a clean brew.
